Whew, can you say tired?!

So, the plan was to come back to the hotel room after dinner tonight and put together a cute and very witty blog entry. Well, witty to me. Everyone else probably would have just shaken their heads and made comments about how I must be off my meds again or something. However, we met together as a group this morning at 7:45 and went non-stop all day until we arrived back here after dinner tonight at 10:30. Add to that the fact that I was up at 5:00 because I had to get something submitted, and I'm pretty darn tired.

Anyway, I've uploaded some pictures from yesterday to share - there will be absolutely nothing witty though. You all know how slow my brain gets when its tired.

This is a shot of my first glimpse of the harbor bridge, and below is the view from my room (tomorrow we will be on the very top of the bridge where the flags are).

Just so you know, the Aussies really do barbecue everything. This is the chef making breakfast, and yes she really did cook the eggs and bacon on the barbecue. Mmmmmmm, good.

This is one of the beaches in Sydney. They are absolutely beautiful - pristine white sand without a bit of rubbish. It just so happened that we got to go on the Bondi Beach walk on the final weekend of an event called "Sculptures by the Sea." Sculptures by local artists are installed along the beach walk, and sometimes actually in the ocean, for a three week period and then they are removed. Very cool. This is a line of cattle that are walking towards the ocean. I have a bunch more pictures that I'm not loading here, but they are really very neat.

Here's the gang standing on an overlook of the walk looking back onto the beach that is in the picture above.

This is one of the three towers of food that we were served at lunch. There were two of us sharing a tower, and this is just the appetizer course of a three course meal, so there was more than plenty to go around.
This is the bike that I chose to ride on for our Harley ride through town. Its a Road King, and I thought it would be fun to ride on one of the bikes that Shawn and I looked at before we bought ours. Really, there's no comparison. Ours is much nicer, and believe it or not, has a better rumble than the Harley. I told the guy that I rode with that I was comparing the two, and he gave me quite a ride. Fun was had by all.

Above is the group that took us for the ride, and below is the guy that I rode with. I really wish I could remember his name, but I don't have a clue what it was. After we teamed up one of the other guys came over to me and kind of whispered in my ear that the guy I was riding with was on work release from the prison and the guy that was talking with me was there to keep an eye on him. He told me if the guy tried anything I was to raise my hand as a signal that I needed help. The guy I was riding with overheard and started laughing. He told me I probably could never guess what he used to do. I guessed he was a corporate attorney. He was actually an investment banker in his former life. Funny! Very nice guy.

And this is the view from my window this morning. Somehow a giant cruise ship entered the picture during the night.
Tomorrow I'll fill you in on what happens when event planners take over the boat while sailing in Sydney Harbor.
